Your child is your most important investment.

On a cold morning, a man sat in a Washington, D.C., subway station and began playing Beethoven's pieces on his violin. He played for 45 minutes, as thousands of people passed by, most of them on their way to work in the morning rush.

Only about twenty people stopped for a moment, threw some money into his hat and walked away, during which he collected $32.

But none of the passersby knew that the player was no ordinary person. He was Joshua Bell , one of the most famous violinists in the world, and he was playing one of the most complex pieces of music on a violin worth $3.5 million!

Just two days earlier, he had performed the same piece to a packed theater in Boston, where tickets were $100 each.

What happened wasn't a coincidence, but rather a social experiment organized by the Washington Post to test aesthetic perception and public taste in public spaces. And the result?

People may lose the ability to appreciate beauty when they are not in the "right" place or time.

Here lies the wisdom...

How much beauty do we pass by every day without noticing? How many moments worth appreciating slip through our fingers?

If we don't find time to enjoy the most beautiful moments of our lives with our children, then what do we spend our lives on?

According to a recent study published in the Journal of the University of Jordan , the amount of productive time a parent spends with their children in the Arab world does not exceed five minutes per week !

While what is required is no less than twenty minutes a day , a time we dedicate to enjoyment and participation, not just orders and advice.

What a child desires is not gifts or the latest gadgets, but for adults to share a part of their day with them . To read to them, play with them, immerse themselves in their world, listen to their dreams, and tell them stories about our childhood. To be present with our hearts, not just our bodies.

But what often happens is that the pressures of life and the accumulation of responsibilities pull us away from the pure moments of childhood. Days pass without us giving them real attention. And even if we do sit with them, we are often preoccupied with our phones or our problems, giving them our body and obscuring our heart.

Then suddenly we realize: the kids have grown up , and gone are the days when we could make unforgettable memories with them.

We say they are “our walking livers” and “the adornment of this worldly life,” but reality screams out statistics that reveal the extent of emotional neglect and unintentional abuse to which our children are subjected.

To every father and mother, do not let the concerns of life steal the beautiful moments of childhood from you.

Invest your time with your children, they are the greatest investment and a memory that will never be repeated.
